Friendship Makes Fall Special
Skunk has waited all summer to harvest apples from his tree. Finally, fall arrives and the apples are ready. Skunk invites his friend Raccoon over to help him make an apple pie. On his way to Skunk's house, Raccoon comes across several of their friends. It seems that each friend is having a difficult day. But Raccoon has the recipe to turn their day around by inviting them to the pie making party. Skunk and Raccoon's woodland friends learn that sometimes all you need to turn a day around is the kindness of good friends, and of course, a slice of homemade apple pie!
My thoughts: A IS FOR APPLE PIE is a cute children's book that promotes sharing and caring. Skunk doesn't know how to make an apple pie so he invites Raccoon to come help him. On his way, Raccoon invites all his friends who are all having a bad day. It is a message of hope, friendship, and loving kindness.
The art work is lovely and sure to invite conversation in addition to the child's attention.
Recommended for children.

Another great book for children to have to learn a strong characteritic of sharing and giving.
