My thoughts: 10 MINUTES IN THE WORD: JOHN is a great giftbook size devotional for someone one your gift list. Maybe even yourself. Beautifully done, it includes a portion of scripture for you to look up and read, a selection to meditate on, and a devotion, a prayer, and an application for you to consider.
While probably intended for individuals, this would also be great for a lunch time prayer group who meet for a while during the workday for prayer, Bible study and fellowship. There are some good questions for discussion that seem more group focused than individual focused.
If you are looking for a good devotional, 10 MINUTES IN THE WORD: JOHN is one to consider. Also available in Psalms and Proverbs.
