My thoughts: Summer in the Spotlight by Liz Johnson is a romance set on Prince Edwards Island. The third book in a series it easily stands alone but readers will want to read the previous two books. Ms Johnson is one of my favorite contemporary romance writers and I have read all her books to date. If you like romance and like story set on PEI you will definitely want to read this book. This is the second time I read this book.
SUMMER IN THE SPOTLIGHT is a sweet message. Kelsey is an outgoing, theatric person, over-the-top, and Levi is quiet and rarely speaks at all. Two very different couples! I enjoyed the story and getting to know them and how they hope to save the Playhouse and Kelsey's job. There is no faith message to speak of, but forgiveness is key, and the romance is slow and easy. I enjoyed this series and look forward to whatever Ms. Johnson is working on next. I really liked how they worked together to solve their problems. IIf you like summer romances you will want to read SUMMER INTHE SPOTLIGHT. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own. Recommended.
