Colton's wife is brutally murdered and everyone believes Colton did it. His son has not spoken a word since the day his mama died. And Colton is shunned by his own town. Virtually run out when he dares go to the store for supplies. But the real murderer is still free and will stop at nothing to get what he's after. Somewhat predictable, Lillian is almost too perfect, but Colton was real and my heart hurt for him. A historical suspense that will hold fans of both Peterson and Woodhouse captivated and enthralled, page after page. A winning team of authors. 4 stars.
