Blue Ribbon Trail Ride

Blue Ribbon Trail Ride

A horse scavenger hunt.
A vanishing box of money.
And a growing list of suspects.
These are the ingredients of
Kate's biggest adventure yet!

In the fourth Horses and Friends novel, thirteen-year-old Kate Ferris and her friends must solve the mystery of who stole an antique jewelry box filled with money from their horse scavenger hunt.

When Kate's parents can't afford to send her autistic brother, Pete, to summer camp, she and her friends decide to hold a horse scavenger hunt. They invite local businesses to help support the event and place all the money raised in an antique jewelry box. But when someone takes the box and the money, Kate must follow the clues to solve the case and save their dream of providing summer camp for Pete and his friends.

My thoughts: BLUE RIBBON TRAIL RIDE is the fourth book in this series, but it easily stands alone.  I loved the first three books in this series (especially Mystery Rider) so I had high hopes for this one.  And I wasn't disappointed. The main focus is forgiveness and patience.  It was very discreet mystery.  I didn't guess who did it until it was revealed.  The brother Pete has autism and he's getting better because of the dog helping him relate better. I liked that. It was a very good book. 5 stars.

Horses and Friends is the perfect adventure series for young girls---a horse lover's dream-come-true with stories of friendship and faith.
