My thoughts: BLUE RIBBON TRAIL RIDE is the fourth book in this series, but it easily stands alone.  I loved the first three books in this series (especially Mystery Rider) so I had high hopes for this one.  And I wasn't disappointed. The main focus is forgiveness and patience.  It was very discreet mystery.  I didn't guess who did it until it was revealed.  The brother Pete has autism and he's getting better because of the dog helping him relate better. I liked that. It was a very good book. 5 stars.  Horses and Friends is the perfect adventure series for young girls---a horse lover's dream-come-true with stories of friendship and faith.
