Elise Wells is rudely awakened in the middle of the night when a stranger calls to inform her of her mother’s death. Elise has never been really close to Laura, but she had been planning to go and visit her in a matter of days. Laura had been concerned that someone was trying to kill her. And had said something about the statues eyes following her. Elise hadn’t quite understood the whole message.

Since it is summer, and school is not in session, Elise feels free to take off without notifying anyone where she is going. She has no one to tell anyway, not having made any friends. The caller promised to meet her in Santa Fe, but refuses to tell Elise anything about himself, other than he is the driver, and his name is Ramon..

Ramon Castillo is a sculptor, and he has secrets. Secrets that could threaten Elise’s survival. But in spite of the danger, Elise soon begins to be attracted to him, even as she fears for her life. Is there any hope for a happy ending?

SECRETS OF OLD SANTA FE is an e-book. The suspense was immediate from the very first page. Elise is a character that one couldn’t help but feel immediate sympathy for, especially if one has ever lost a loved one. She is, understandably, quite confused about her mother’s death, since she’d just spoken to her mother and she’d been fine. And to have a stranger call that treats her less than sympathetically, she finds it all rather daunting.

If you enjoy suspense, you will definitely want to read SECRETS OF OLD SANTA FE. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out how exactly Laura really died, and how does the secrets have anything to do with her estranged daughter, Elise. Available from
