The Potluck Club Cookbook

Title: THE POTLUCK CLUB COOKBOOK
Authors: Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson
Publisher: Revell
2009
ISBN: 978-0-8007-3349-0
Genre: Inspirational/cookbook

If you’ve read any of the Potluck Club series, you know they are filled with fun, friends, and lots of food. Recipes were included in each of the books, but now, for the first time, the authors have composed a cookbook with all their favorite recipes – and maybe a “just for fun” one thrown in now and then.

Potlucks are also popular because you get to try a lot of different foods, and if they are homemade, even better. This cookbook includes salads to casseroles to slow-cooker delights, and even deserts. There are some low calorie recipes included too.

Some of the recipes include:

Turkey Chili
Oven Barbequed Chicken
Pasta Pizza Pie
Corn Pudding Au Gratin

I am trying one of the recipes (Porcupine meatballs) out for my family today, and am looking forward to trying many more in the future. The recipes are easy, and contain, for the most part, ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

There is an interview with the authors included at the end of the book, many potluck tidbits, and other information included which also makes this a fun cookbook to read. If you buy one cookbook this year, make it THE POTLUCK CLUB COOKBOOK. It is sure to have many of your future favorites. $14.99. 181 pages.
