The Beginner’s Bible® has been a favorite with young children and their parents since its release in 1989 with over 25 million products sold.
The Beginner’s Bible First 100 Bible Words is the perfect way to introduce little ones to their first words from the Bible. This bright board book with vibrant colors and child-friendly illustrations offers emerging readers an opportunity to learn words and concepts from beloved stories from the Bible. This sturdy board book is perfect for little hands and contains engaging 3-D art with plenty of details to hold a young child’s attention.
My thoughts: THE BEGINNER'S BIBLE FIRST 100 BIBLE WORDS is a sturdy twenty-two page board book (also available in ebook) that is divided in sections: Creation, Noah's Ark, Moses Leads His People, David and Goliath, Daniel and the Lions, Jonah and the Big Fish, Jesus is Born, Jesus Feeds Thousands, The Lost Son, The Last Supper, He is Risen. Whoever is reading the book will be able to tell the story in their own words using the pictures or just teach the words to the child.
One thing I really liked is that the wisemen (in Jesus is Born) appear to be with a toddler instead of at the birth. I also liked that (He is Risen) includes the cross and tomb.
I didn't like that some words I'm pretty sure aren't in the Bible like bunny and cat, but they are good words for children to learn.
I recommend this for parents, grandparents, preschool teachers, and nursery workers, etc.

Every parent dreams of embracing their new child, and when that dream comes true, it's as if all of creation rejoices with them. In the tradition of Nancy Tillman's On The Night You Were Born and Emily Winfield Martin's The Wonderful Things You Will Be comes The Wonder That Is You by critically-acclaimed author Glenys Nellist. This heartwarming picture book beautifully captures the universal love and joy parents feel as they celebrate the arrival of a new child. A perfect gift for baby showers, baptisms, adoptions, birthdays, or any time you want to tell your little one how much they are loved.
It felt as if the world stood still
The day my dream came true,
And all creation paused to see
The wonder that is you.
I thought I heard the trees clap hands
And as their leaves unfurled,
They whispered softly in the breeze,
Welcome to our world.

My thoughts: THE WONDER THAT IS YOU is a wonderfully written tale of a much-loved, much-wanted new baby and it is so sweet and makes the child feel so wanted. I read this outloud to my teenager after she got into a fight with her sisters and ended up excluded from their activities. II made her fondly remember the days of bedtime stories, She turned around and read the story to the dog and wants to keep the book for an eventual (maybe, someday) niece or nephew.
The pictures are beautifully done, colorful, and draw the eye. The copy I received has a dust cover and a gift page, making it a perfect collectible shower gift or baby gift. Parents will love snuggling with the baby/toddler and reading the sweet words out loud.
There is nothing Christian about the book so it is even good for nonbelievers. A perfect gift for a new baby.

Both of these books sound like ones young parents need for their toddler/preschool children.
