My thoughts (lvh):  THE PERKS OF MEDDLING is book two of this new series by Christy Barritt and fans will want to read The Art of Eavesdropping first since there are continuing story strands that will go throughout the series.

I like Elliott as well as Officer Hunter and Michael. If there will be a hero which should he be?  

This series is written in first person which may bother some readers.

I did figure out who-dun-it right away, but not why, and some of the events are suspension of reality, but it was a good read  I am looking forward to book 3 in this series.

THE PERKS OF MEDDLING is fast paced and not scary.  If you like cozy mysteries you will love this series.
